Cancer Support Practitioner

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly adaptable and personable health/social care professional to join our small and passionate team.
Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey’s aim is to ensure people have the information and support they need to live well and take back control of their lives through their experience with cancer, knowing their family and friends can access support too. All our services are provided from The Oasis, our cancer support centre based at the Lido Medical Centre.
It is essential that the candidate has highly developed listening, communication and people skills enabling them to identify and address the needs of our service users, especially those with high level or complex needs. These needs can include providing emotional support, access to relevant medical/practical information, signposting/referring to other relevant professionals and organisations.
The candidate will demonstrate a willingness to develop their knowledge within the field of cancer support if they do not have existing experience. They will be a proven team player with experience of working autonomously also.
