Around 500 new cancers are diagnosed in Jersey each year* which can be devastating news for both the person diagnosed and their families and friends. We also estimate that there are 3,000 people in Jersey currently living with cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey is here to support and empower anybody in Jersey affected by cancer.
In 2016, we provided 3,661 support sessions. This included emotional support, providing information and complementary therapies. We also welcomed over 300 people to our coffee mornings, afternoon teas, and Chat and Play for children with a cancer diagnosis.
It costs £6,179 per week to run Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey, and we solely rely on the generosity of Islanders, local businesses and trusts. Now, more than ever, we need people like you to join our team and help us make sure that no one in Jersey faces cancer alone. For more information about how we raise and spend our money please see our annual report.
