2019 Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile road cycle challenge
I have been very fortunate to secure a place to participate in this 100 mile closed road cycle challenge which involves 25,000 amateur cyclists taking on a challenge like no other through riding a similar route to that of the London 2012 Olympic road cycle race. I aim to complete the challenge in around 6 hours.
Starting from London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park going through the capital and onto Surrey’s country roads and hills (taking in Box hill and Leigh hill) before heading back into central London to a spectacular finish onto the Mall and in front of Buckingham Palace.
I have chosen to fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey as it is a charity very close to my heart having benefitted from their services at The Oasis and seeing first hand the amazing work that they offer in terms of emotional, social and practical support to all those touched by cancer.
Many of you know that I have supported this charity on a few occasions already and I really do appreciate those of you who have very kindly donated and helped me raise funds. I welcome any donations that you may be able to offer for this endeavour. I will be paying for all my own travel and accommodation expenses, so every penny I raise will go straight to Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey. Thank you all in advance.
