Georgina’s Cycle Challenge from Geneva to Nice
On 12 June 2018 I’m taking part in a cycle challenge in aid of the amazing charity, Macmillan Jersey. The funds raised will help support the free services provided at The Oasis. These services range from emotional support, practical information and group support. They also provide complementary therapies, diet and exercise advice. My cycle challenge will start in Geneva and, together with 40 fellow islanders, we will ride through the stunning scenery of the French Alps to Nice, south of France. The distance we will cover is 520 km over 4 days, tackling some of the Tour de France climbs.
Training hasn’t been easy! I started my training in September by buying a bike then every Sunday to get up in the rain and cold to train when I really didn’t want to. I have worked all my training around my busy schedule but I can not think of a better way to help Macmillan Jersey by raising as much as possible. Not only am I taking part in this for Macmillan but I also want to achieve this for all the men and women in my cancer rehabilitation classes. Dig deep and donate to my Macmillan page.
Thanking you in advance. Georgina.
