Matt Gets the Chop for Macmillan Jersey
After 2 years of growing my hair whilst trying to save money as a student at university, it has recently got to that point where I’m getting bored of it being long and it’s just an effort to maintain. Long story short, I’ve decided that instead of being boring and just getting the chop, I’d donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust and fundraise money for Macmillan Jersey.
It will be a weird sensation getting this hair cut as the long hair has really grown on me over the years, but knowing it’s going to a good cause makes it all the better.
The Little Princess Trust is a children’s cancer charity and our mission is to supply real hair wigs to children suffering with cancer, for the duration of their treatment. In addition we assist children with other conditions which also result in hair loss, the most common being alopecia.
Macmillan Jersey provides practical, emotional, wellbeing and group support to anyone in Jersey who is affected by cancer. All money raised in Jersey stays in Jersey.
