Pete Wright’s 496 Mile Running Challenge!
For the month of May, I am taking on an accumulated mileage Challenge
A 31 day consecutive running challenge. Every day to run the equivalent (in miles) of the respective date in May.
The accumulated mileage of the challenge will be 496 miles.
How did I come up with the idea:
I can’t take the credit for that. Cockbain Events, a UK race organiser, has in fact come up with the idea and several crazy individuals are taking part in the challenge
Firstly, to continue my fundraising efforts for Macmillan Jersey, whose invaluable services will be needed more than ever given the Covid-19 pandemic. I will also be giving 50% of the money raised to Mind Jersey.
Secondly, the lockdown and subsequent amendments, has had a positive affect in physical wellbeing and encouraged many to enjoy the great outdoors. This is exactly what I am planning to do for my challenge, and I would love for company on any of my days,…whilst respecting social distancing of course.
