Around 500 new cancers are diagnosed in Jersey each year* which can be devastating news for both the person diagnosed, and their families and friends. We also estimate that there are 3,000 people in Jersey currently living with Cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey is here to support and empower anybody touched by cancer in Jersey.
In 2015, we supported people on 2,561 occasions, through just being a listening ear, providing information or providing complementary therapies. We also welcomed over 300 people to our coffee mornings, afternoon teas and, chat and play for children with a cancer diagnosis.
It costs £1,200 per day to run Macmillan Cancer Support (Jersey), and we solely rely on the generosity of Islanders, local businesses, trusts and foundations. Now more than ever, we need people like you to join our team and help us make sure that no one in Jersey faces cancer alone.
