Your company can support Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey in many different ways such as nominating us as your Charity of the Year, employee fundraising, sponsorship, payroll giving or gifts in kind.
We appreciate any activity you would like to take on and we will support in every way we can – here are some of the ways you can get involved.
Why not sponsor one of our events? There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available, such as the refreshments for our Rowathon, or sponsor a hole at our Golf Day. All of our events are widely advertised in the media and within the community which brings a multitude of benefits such as brand awareness, good will with your customers and something to make employees feel proud of where they work.
Charity of the Year
Many businesses select a charity of the year to direct all of their fundraising efforts towards. This not only helps the charity financially, but also raises important awareness of our service among your employees. We also feel working closely with a charity like Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey can bring a whole host of benefits to your business such as –
- Motivating staff and making them proud of where they work
- Stand out in the local market
- A real understanding if one of your employees should ever be diagnosed, that they know where we are
- Building brand profile
We will work with your business to ensure we develop the very best partnership for both of us.
Cancer in the workplace
Current statistics predict that by 2020 one in two of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. Which means it’s likely that cancer will have an impact in your workplace.
Macmillan Jersey can provide expert confidential advice to managers and HR staff on the impact cancer may have on an individual and their return to work. We can provide information on how that person may be feeling and help you to best support your team.
We can also support other team members touched by cancer and we can come in and give you a presentation to your staff on all of our services. Finally we can of course offer a range of services to support the individual who has been diagnosed.
